Spouse's NameClara Ellen WOOD (also known as Nellie) who was born C1876 to parents Isaac and Marion Wood. She also had other relatives living in Northampton, Western Australia. After the death of James in 1910, Clara married John S Ball in 1921 in Perth, Western Australia. Clara and John then later moved to New South Wales with most of their adult children. Clara passed away in 1954 and lays at rest in the Rookwood Necropolis Cemetery at Independent Section K, row 48, grave 2445.

ChildrenEva J Wyatt – was born in 1906 in the Murchison district of Western Australia and later moved to New South Wales. • Eva married Robert J Green, Sydney, New South Wales 1929. • Arthur James Wyatt – was born in 1909 in the Murchison district of Western Australia and moved to New South Wales. • Arthur married Renira Lilias Bush at Rockdale, New South Wales in 1935. • Arthur passed away on 29/06/1962 and Renira passed away on 26/07/1966 and both lay at rest in the Woronora Memorial Park Cemetery in Sutherland, New South Wales. • Alice May Wyatt – was born in 1910 in the Murchison district of Western Australia. • Alice married Harold Roy Harrison at Northampton, Western Australia in 1931. • Harold passed way in 1968 and Alice passed away on 09 May 1996. Both Alice and Harold lay at rest in the Karrakatta Cemetery at Seventh Day Adventist plot No 0113.

Diagnosis or cause of accident
James was working as a surface hand on the battery and had removed a belt from the cam shaft. When descending to repair the belt, he must have slipped and fallen, and was drawn under the revolving pulleys on the lower shafting. He was terribly crushed and passed away when being taken to hospital.

James lived in the Mt Magnet area of Western Australia for about 14 years. James was a member of the 6th Contingent which served in the Boer War. Inquiry re James’ death held. See attached report. It is not known if James had any siblings:
