Kalgoorlie Western Argus, Tuesday 29 June 1915- Obituary. The funeral of the late. Mr. Alec. McAlister took place on Sunday afternoon, at the Boulder Cemetery when a large number of friends attended. The .deceased was one of the victims of a mining accident at the Golden Horseshoe mine some two and a half years ago when two cages fell, one man (John Harrington) being killed and others more or Iess severely injured. The late Mr. McAlister had an injury to the spine and ever since the accident has been practically confined to his bed. He had been attended by various medical men, but had only obtained temporary relief. He died on Friday night last after a long but patient illness. The ceremony at the graveside was conducted by the Rev. E. G Petherick who made fitting reference to the many good qualities of the deceased, with special reference to the resignation with which he bore his long illness. The late Mr McAlister was one of the old residents of Boulder and was a foundation member of the Boulder Caledonia Society. The Boulder Pipers' Band headed the funeral procession.
