John MCLOUGHLIN (could also be Andrew) : When John Henry MCLOUGHLIN was born in 1869, his father, John, was 32 and his mother, Sarah, was 24. He had four brothers and two sisters. : John MCLOUGHLIN was born in 1837, the son of Mary and Terence. He married Sarah MCCARTHY in 1864 in Ireland. They had seven children in 18 years. He died on 17 April 1909 in Auckland, Auckland, at the age of 72, and was buried in Auckland.

Sarah McCARTHY : Sarah MCCARTHY was born in 1845. She married John MCLOUGHLIN in 1864 in Ireland. They had seven children in 18 years. She died on 25 August 1927 in Auckland, Auckland, at the age of 82, and was buried in Otahuhu, Auckland
