GHASTLY FATALITY, TWO MEN 'INSTANTLY KILLED IN THE LAKE VIEW CONSOLS.
Just before knock-off' time in the Lake View Consols mine on Saturday morning, it was discovered that at some time during the latter part of the shift a ghastly accident, involving the instantaneous death of two miners. Martin Christopher Maher and John Bevan, it had occurred in the 500ft. level.
