Senior field technician Paul Fogarty, 49, died on October 14, 2017 after he and two colleagues were required to walk 16 kilometres in temperatures over 37 degrees during an exploration reconnaissance. Mr Fogarty collapsed on a remote tenement near Mount Windell, became unconscious and could not be resuscitated.
