Mr Stanley resided in Queensland and had worked for Belmont-based specialised labour hire firm Premium Mechanical Group since at least 2021. PMG, which specialises in performing repairs and maintenance on heavy machinery and vehicles across the Goldfields and Pilbara, has declined repeated requests for comment. It is believed he was working on a large truck that had become bogged in mud following a downpour the previous night. The truck is said to have moved abruptly and crushed him. His death is the first work-related fatality on a WA mine site since December 2024.
